General
Camp Bethany Beach offers summer camps and retreats run by the Christian Church Capital Area (Disciples of Christ) at our campus just two blocks from the ocean in Bethany Beach, Delaware. We have been welcoming campers of all ages for nearly a century.
Yes! While we are affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), campers of all faith backgrounds are warmly welcomed. Our doors are open to anyone looking for a week of faith, fun, and friendship by the sea.
"Linked by Love" — this year we are exploring how God's love connects us all. Love comes from God. We see God's love in close friends and family. Such love links our lives, teaching us about commitment, intimacy, grace, and faith.

Activities & Schedule
Beach time, crafts, games, worship, campfire, boogie boarding, creative expression, and so much more. Each camp tailors its activities to the age group, so every camper gets the right mix of adventure and growth.
Days at camp run from sunrise devotionals to campfire under the stars. You'll find devotionals, meals together, morning worship, activity time, beach time, free time, evening programs, and of course — s'mores. Visit our About page for the full daily schedule.
Cell phones are checked at the camp office upon arrival. Campers may use them during designated free time only. This helps everyone stay present, make real connections, and enjoy the camp experience fully.
Lodging & Meals
We have three buildings: Alexander Campbell Hall (our newest — ADA accessible with elevator and A/C), Disciples House (8-bed rooms with in-room bathrooms), and Stone House (charming beach-house style). All rooms are 8-bed dorm-style.
No. Please bring twin-size sheets, a pillow, a blanket or sleeping bag, and towels. If you are traveling light, linens can be rented locally — ask the registrar for recommendations.
We accommodate dietary needs and allergies. Please note any restrictions during registration and contact us in advance so our kitchen team can plan accordingly. Every camper deserves great meals.
Safety & Health
Staff-to-camper ratios follow American Camp Association (ACA) best practices: 1:8 for ages 9–14 and 1:10 for ages 15–18. All staff members 18 and older undergo background checks.
We are working to provide a camp nurse throughout the season. All camp staff are first-aid trained, and we maintain emergency protocols and local medical contacts at all times.
Our staff is trained in homesickness protocols. We create a welcoming, inclusive environment from the moment campers arrive, and we stay in communication with parents if needed. Most campers settle in quickly once they start making friends!
